Day 75:”Ten Million Slaves” by Otis Taylor. I’ve heard it said that music these days doesn’t have a message, doesn’t touch on social themes the way it did in the past. Now that’s just patently untrue, and this is one of the songs I point to when I make that point. It doesn’t hurt that’s an absolute kick-ass song, either, a reworking of Taylor’s 2002 version.
