Ugh. Disgusting. It’s one thing to disagree with someone’s opinion or to make an informed, reasoned argument against Hepler if you’re really opposed to her writing. It’s another to launch degrading slurs at a third party. Way to use misogyny to deny the use of misogyny here. :/
And for the record, I’m so fucking sick of men crying they’re being “marginalized” or “oppressed.” No, no you’re not. (Unless you’re a minority, but I’m speaking solely about gender issues here.) Men are in the position of power. Men are the power structure, really. When someone calls foul against the words you use or the actions you take, that’s not oppression. That’s someone saying you’re being a dick and you pitching a temper tantrum because clearly you’re a saint.
